Results:
We are very excited about the results this season. Unfortunately, Darla's main eventing horse, Covergirl (aka Breeze), has been sidelined by lameness that caused their withdrawal from the Flintridge Horse Trial in May and lingered to prevent them from competing the entire summer, and a severe injury this fall that will prevent any competition for the remainder of the year. Her new eventing partner, Snappy Tab (aka Tabasco) is getting ready to go and has been progressing excellently in his dressage and cross country training.
Meanwhile, though, Darla has started her homebreds' show career with a local halter class where the filly, Absolute Air (aka Coco) performed beyond everyone's expectations. Her composure and aptitude have confirmed she will be a confident competitor.
Most exciting are the results her clients have achieved. In the spring, Cynthia Blazey began competing on Darla's retired eventing partner, I'm Not Bluffing (aka Halie) with wonderful results. This was Halie's comeback after her pregnancy with Coco. Over the summer, Cynthia began riding Takako Nakagawa's thoroughbred, Dale, and in her inaugural show with Dale this fall scored big, entering two classes and taking home two high placing ribbons.
