Competitions
A HUGH congratulations to Haley Horner and her horse, Baiser D’or, on her third place finish in Easy Beginner Novice at her first Combined Test Derby. She finished on her dressage score, going double-clear jumping with a picture perfect round. We are extremely proud and excited for her!
In addition, Darla went double-clear on Tabasco (Snappy Tab), herself finishing third in Open Novice at the same event.
jumping field expansion
The jumping field is now 3/4 enclosed with two jumps in and out of the arena. We are also excited to be adding several new jumps and obstacles to our collection. And along with all our other upper and lower level fences, we still have the multi-level jumping walls made of straw.
COC0'S NEW WORLD
Halie's little foal isn't little anymore. Turning three at the end of May, she has spent the summer being backed and Darla is now riding Coco under saddle about the ranch, up and down hills, working in the arena and beginning some trot work.
Coco took her first outing to a cross-country facility in September, being ponied by mama Halie around the property -- over small logs, up and down little banks, in and out of the water and across narrow ditches. She took it all with great aplomb!
