TRAINING

Darla Opava training bases the training program for each horse on the individual horse's needs, past experiences, temperament and the discipline the horse is being trained for. One of the more important faucets is the relationship between the horse and it's owner, connecting both together in the best possible way. Another strong part of Darla's philosophy is making sure the horse is happy and suited to the owner and for the discipline the owner desires.

Darla performs all the training - on and off the horse - personally. Everyday care of the horse is handled directly by her and her assistants, which she oversees intensely. Because of this attention to detail, she limits the number of horses in training at any given time.

All horses are great horses. Finding their greatness is simply a matter of figuring out the right key to unlock it, and then supporting the horses' understanding and desire to please and perform.

HORSE TRAINING RATES:

Home facility:

Per ride 1 session / week or

individual session $ 50.00 / session

1/2 Training 2 sessions / week $ 80.00 / week

Full Training 4-5 sessions / week $ 140.00 / week

Full Training Package 4-5 sessions/week,

1-2 turnouts / week, $ 630.00 / month

Plus all full care services (10% savings over basic rate)

Full Training Package Plus Full training package plus $ 700.00 / month

1 private lesson / week (15% savings over basic rate)

Daily Graining, vet/farrier handling, product purchasing, worming, medicating, grooming, wrapping, face & fetlock cleanup trims, and health management.

For horses not in training (includes full care plus 2 turnouts / week) $ 100.00 / month
